Seriously Screaming for Ice Cream- My Fav Ice Cream Spots in HK
People, who doesn't LOVE ice cream? There's just something embedded in our DNA causing us to sell our soul for this frosty, frozen and oh so fabulous treat! Dressed up and doused in a sweet sticky sauce or standing on its own (with or without a cone),nothing makes me scream more than, well, Ice Cream...Sure you could say its "just a food", but frankly, that's insulting. Ice Cream is so much more than "JUST a food". Maybe its just me, but I'm pretty sure Ice Cream is a tangible measurement of how much someone loves you. Next time you're out with your boy toy, test him. If he buys you ice cream... Keep him. Now having moved to Hong Kong on my own, I like to show myself the love by well, treating myself. That being said, looking for a simple cone in Hong Kong may be easier said that done. Hong Kong seems to have a way of taking all things to the next level. From adorable Dim Sum to crazy Cruffin features, it seems simplicity is overrated. I mean come on, why settle for a simple soft serve swirl (now I mean, let's be honest, it's not "settling" per say, but for argument sake stay with me) when you could have sprinkles, sauces and sandwiches? What about that wouldn't make you scream? First Up:
Night Wolf Eggette
Foodstagramers out there, if you're hip and "with it" (like myself...), I'm SURE you will have seen this divine site a time or two while scrolling #HKeats. Not only is this treat a sight for sore eyes, but OH MY WORD, it is absolutely amazing! This gorgeous creation is made up of a Hong Kong Style Eggette that has brownie bits baked into it! This beloved Hong Kong icon was crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside and was amazing when swiped through the soft serve vanilla and chocolate swirl gelato. After diving in and digging my way through this GORGEOUS gelato I found my self GAWKING over the passion fruit panna cotta in the bottom along with crunchy flakes, butter crumbs and a scoop of the gelato of the day. The combination of flavours was seriously life changing. I sat in Oddies smiling to myself in awe of this unique matrimony of two beautiful cultures (Hong Kong eggette and Italian gelato) coming together to make a knockout treat.

Now I would be lying if I told you that this beautiful treat didn't first get the ball rolling for my passion and desire to start a food blog. Upon my discovery of Loooop and the stunning deserts they were creating I got to thinking that something this unique and beautiful NEEDS to be shared. With everything in this dessert being edible, and I mean EVERYTHING (From the paper wrapper to the adorable cartoon creatures hidden amongst the soft serve it's safe to say that if it was edible? ...I ate it... This Blue Moon and Yogurt flavoured soft serve was topped with sprinkles, marshmallows, a meringue mushroom and served in a Lemon Cookie Cup that was filled with croquet caramel Fleur de Sel. This was so tasty and way too much fun to eat!
Christmas Wonderland Ice Cream
I know I know, it's not Christmas anymore, but seriously, how could I not share a snowman cotton candy ice cream cone? You can't tell me you see that every day! This beautiful festive treat was made of Blue Moon Ice Cream, Sprinkles edible Santa and Reindeer decorations and oh yeah, did I mention a COTTON CANDY SNOWMAN? Make sure you pop into Loooop to see what's new!

Koala Face Ramuen Flavored Soft Serve
Check In Tokyo is located in Mong Kok making it a great pit stop while meandering the mayhem. This adorable Ramune flavoured Koala was not overly sweet but still very enjoyable! For those of you (like myself) who have never heard of Ramune, it's a Japanese soft drink FYI. But with a face like that? Who even cares about the flavour!
I mean come on, what's not to love? This adorable ice cream satisfies your sweet tooth and your camera.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich with Peanut Butter Ice Cream and Strawberry Jelly
Let me be the first to say, that Elephant Grounds in Causeway Bay is amazing. Awesome vibes GREAT music and a perfect place to relax and catch up with friends or even crack out the ole laptop and blog about your fav ice cream spots! Elephants Grounds not only has fantastic coffee, Thai style Milk tea and many other delicious dishes, they also have ICE CREAM SANDWICHES. They have both a flavour of the week along with their signature Peanut Gallery sandwich (seen above). Being the peanut butter addict that I am I couldn't say no! This sandwich was made up of delicious chocolate chip cookies stuffed with peanut butter ice cream, strawberry jam and rolled in candied peanuts. If the Ice Cream Sandwich is all that you go to Elephant Grounds for, believe me, it won't be time wasted!

Emack & Bolio's
Deep Purple Cow and Space Cake Ice Cream in a Fruitloops and Marshmallow Cone
If I could put the clapping emoji in right now, I would! Growing up, it's safe to say I was the child that would EASILY eat a half (okay fine whole) tray of Marshmallow Cereal Treats made by my lovely mother. Majority of the time she would craft these treats using Rice Krispy Squares but on the rare occasion I was a REALLY good girl, Fruit Loops would make an appearance into our pantry and Marshmallow Cereal Treats ( if you have never made "Fruit Loop" Rice Krispy squares, you need to get with the times... of the 90's). Now being the Marshmallow Cereal Treat Lover that I am, I knew that Emack & Bolio's understood the beauty of this childhood favourite. It got me thinking why had nobody thought of this earlier? Waffle cone wrapped in a Fruit Loop Marshmallow treat? This was definitely a match made in heaven not to mention the ice cream was brilliant as well. With many other cereal treat cones to choose from, this is a great twist on your classic cone!
